Ministry Board
|
| |
The Ministry Board fulfils a vital function within PTI by maintaining the doctrinal standards of all our activities.
Specifically, they review and approve all the books, training materials and expatriate trainers that PTI uses. This ensures that PTI continues to propagate the reformed, conservative, evangelical understanding of Biblical Christianity that we believe most accurately represents the faith set forth in the Word of God.
The Ministry Board currently has four members:
Rev Timothy Alford
Timothy has served as the minister of churches in London, Felixstowe, Belfast and Horsley before becoming the UK Director of Africa Inland Mission International. He is now engaged in itinerant and international ministry, which includes several year's experience training pastors in Africa.
Rev Kenneth Brownell
Ken is minister of East London Tabernacle Baptist Church. In addition to his pastoral responsibilities he also teaches church history at the London Theological Seminary, chairs the committee of the John Owen Centre, and regularly visits Burma and Thailand to lecture and preach. Born and brought up in the United States, he previously served at Cholmeley Evangelical Church in North London.
Rev David Kingdon
David has pastored churches in England, Wales and South Africa, and also served as principal of the Irish Baptist College and as Theological Books Editor of Inter Varsity Press (U.K.). Prior to his retirement in 1999 he was managing editor of the Bryntirion Press, the publishing arm of the Evangelical Movement of Wales.
Rev W T Summers
Bill served with the London City Mission for 11 years and then pastored two churches, one in London and the other in Flitwick, Beds. He also wrote and taught the coursework on Biblical Theology for the PfS ministry training course. Other work includes the chairmanship of the Board of Trustees for Operation Timothy, a charity that supports Christian workers and churches in Eastern Europe.
