We thank the Lord that we can continue working in Malawi and Zambia this year, and also for the opportunities He has given us to extend the training conference ministry into three new countries – Sierra Leone, Zimbabwe and Ethiopia. As always, we can only consider working in areas where we have established good local contacts and links with sympathetic missions who can assist with much of the organisation.
Sierra Leone
We held our first pastor training conferences in Sierra Leone this year, at the invitation of Mike and Vi Webb of UFM Worldwide. Four conferences took place, at which Alan Levy led the teaching, assisted by a Sierra Leonean brother, Christopher Jonah, and Mike Webb. The schedule was as follows:
- Freetown, 18th-23rd March 2007.
- Makeni, 25th-30th March 2007.
- Kenema, 16th-20th April 2007.
- Bo, 23rd-27th April 2007.
Zimbabwe
We were also in Zimbabwe for the first time in 2007. At the invitation of two Bible colleges, and with their assistance, we held the following training conferences:
- Rusitu, 26th-30th March 2007, at the Rusitu Bible College near Chimanimani.
- Bulawayo, 2nd-6th April 2007, at the Theological College of Zimbabwe.
We are thankful that Rev Brian Lotter from Upper Hale was able to lead the ministry at these conferences.
Malawi
In July we were once again working in fellowship with our friends from Zambesi Mission for two more conferences in Malawi. The arrangements were made by the Evangelical Bible College of Malawi and the Evangelical Association of Malawi. Our involvement was to supply the books for all who attend.
- Blantyre, 2nd-6th July 2007, at Evangelical Bible College of Malawi.
- Nkhata Bay, 9th-13th July 2007.
As in previous years, Timothy Alford led the ministry, assisted by Abraham Folayan of Zambesi Mission. This year they were also joined by Richard Underwood, who is General Secretary of the FIEC.

Zambia
We also received invitations from friends in different parts of Zambia and as a result we took four conferences there in August and September. One of these was in the South West where we had not visited before. We will also made our third and final visit to Kasama in the North. We thank our God that Alan Levy, Ian Harrison and Peter Seccombe were able to lead these conferences.
- Mongu, 13th-17th August 2007.
- Kasama, 20th-24th August 2007.
- Petauke, during early September 2007 at Covenant College.
- Northern Copperbelt, during September 2007, in the week following Petauke.
Ethiopia
October saw us going to Ethiopia for the first time, at the invitation of some friends in the Christian Brethren church. We are thankful that Rev Ken McIntosh and Rev David Sercombe were able to lead the ministry at these conferences, which took place as follows:
- Addis Ababa, 1st-6th October 2007.
- Ginchi, 8th-13th October 2007. This was conducted for Amharic believers. We were able to find books in this language for those who attended.
