Learning resources

PTI continues to receive encouraging and practical support from the major Christian publishing houses and now has a range of quality books to offer to pastors.

Literature is a vital part of the ministry and is used to extend the pastor’s personal development and understanding of the scripture.

Self Study
What the Scriptures Teach (E.F. Kevan) is used as a basic self study book by the mentoring arm of PTI. Pastors complete the set questions listed at the end of this book and through correspondence with an experienced and trained minister, they receive tutorial guided assistance. Those with the capacity and desire to develop their understanding further, will be sent Christian Handbook (Peter Jeffrey) together with the accompanying workbook.

Additional literature is available to those pastors who indicate this means of teaching as their preferred method. Alternatively, a selected book may be sent in response to a problem raised during correspondence with them.

Book Sets
Attendees at the in-country training conferences all receive a set of suitable books to give them ongoing help in their ministry. They are given these during a closing seeion at the end of each course, although the Christian Handbook will be given out earlier so that it can be used during discussions and individual study periods.
What goes into a PTI book set?

"And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also."
2 Timothy 2:2
