Pray for Myanmar

As the world is now aware, in the early hours of Monday morning the Military have taken over the country of Myanmar where we have done training.

PTI have been in contact with many of the people we know in that country.

They and their families and churches are safe, Praise the Lord.

Most have been in lockdown due to Covid, so their movements have already been restricted.

The Military claim they will be holding new elections in a years’ time, claiming there was widespread fraud in the November elections when the option won by a larger majority than in 2015.

However, despite the restrictions of lockdown, all our contacts have reported seeing Baptisms happening over the past few months and testify to the goodness of God in providing for them and then being able to help the poor during the difficulties of lockdown which has resulted in the gospel being responded to well.

Please pray for this situation.

  • Pray that nothing would hinder the spread of the gospel.
  • Pray that the Lord might give great wisdom to our brothers and sisters and guide them as they respond to this situation.
  • Pray for the practical matters of shops and food supplies, and for the impact of the closure of banks, borders and airports
  • Thus far things have been peaceful, pray that protests would not turn violent, and that Jesus the Prince of Peace would be glorified
